Tag: 7 Deadly sins of beauty ♥

Good day to you all!

Sorry for being AWOL for so long, one has been doing 12hr days, 6 days a week for quite some time now... :| But got a day off and back with a Tag from the very lovely Vintage Gulab (check out her gorgeous pics!). So here we go :)

GREED ~ What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

My most inexpensive items have to be my Wet 'n' Wild Color Icon single eyeshadows in Brulee and Nutty, I grabbed these in 2010 when they were on sale at Walgreens for a mere 99c! Worth every cent in my eyes as I absolutely love those eyeshadows.

Most expensive items I own have to be either Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge Anti-Aging Complexe Tinted Treatment, which I do actually love! But not quite the bargain for $125 :/ The other item is my beloved Chantecaille Sylvie's Personal Palette (which looks dupetastical against the WnW singles no?!), which has been worth every penny of the £75 I paid for it!

WRATH ~ What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

I have the biggest love/hate relationship with lipsticks. Particularly bright or dark tones. I don't know what it is, but they absolutely terrify me when I put them on?! But, despite my current state of purging I have saved these 4... Revlon Kiss Me Coral (Super Lustrous), MAC Show Orchid & Impassioned and Giorgio Armani Rose 513 (Rouge d'Armani). I know the lesson I need to learn is there, but these colours are just too darn delicious for me ever to give up quite frankly!

And here we have some hard for Mira to finds. Lancome Miel Glace Blush Subtil has been on my want/need list since I graced the pages of Makeupalley back in 2010. The sad news was it is not available in the UK and one kept forgetting to buy it whilst in the US! But a generous soul sent me a tester, to which I cannot thank her enough :) It is everything I hoped it would be, plus more! Miel Glace is followed closely by the very yummie Le Metier de Beaute eyeshadows in Corinthian and Plum. I bought the UK verions whilst the brands was still here and to my horror they were not even close to the shades I remembered in the US >:C
So trying to get these 2 became quite the mission! Again, another dear friend helped my obtain these which I am so grateful for *tears up*

GLUTTONY ~ What are your most delicious beauty products?

Actually, this one is something I do not even use anymore! Lancome Juicy Tubes World Tour by Christopher Kane in Rio Banana Ipanema and Tokyo Apple Shibuya. I absolutely love the smell of these 2, but sadly they are far too sticky for me to wear nowadays... I am now wondering how I ever did wear these?

SLOTH ~ What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?

Oddly enough, this one is foundations. I blame it on Kevyn Aucoin and his Sensual Skin Enhancer, but I haven't even considered wearing any of my beloved foundations for over 3 months now! It does make me sad as I know how much love I gave these when I was a bit of a foundation addict, now there is a drawer stacked full gathering theoretical dust :(

Maybe it is a good thing, I don't know... but I have been really pleased with the condition of my skin and therefore laziness towards my base makeup has spiralled out of control :)

PRIDE ~ What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

Yes, that be eyeliners! I don't care what form, I do not leave the house without a killer wing and smudging on the waterline. I have no favourite or go to nowadays as there are som many options in my stash now, but as long as I have some on my lids pronto :)

LUST ~ What are your current lemmings or lusts?

No picture for this one, but I am craving the Chantecaille Coral Reef Palette and Suqqu Spring quads like no other! But trying to behave is getting harder... The Suqqu quads have become a great work staple for me lately, so trying to resist their luring call is killing me right now! I swear, no drama queen-ness intended >.<

ENVY ~ What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

Junk foods of course! lol, no really I am a sucker for American and Asian snacks as you can see... Especially crisps, they will be my downfall. But really, I love receiving fragrances as a gift. Something so personal and thoughtful as the giver of said gift has to know me and my specific tastes.

Well, that's all for today! I tag anyone who reads this post, but in particular Tags are going out to

LauraJean of My Newest Addiction
Kate of Drivel About Frivol
Nazia of Mascara Magic!
Lizzie of Glossed In Translation

And on that note I leave you with my other love... music! A track I cannot get enough of right now, Plan B ~ Ill Manors.
Have a fab week everyone and thanks for reading ♥

A little something from Selfridges :)

Good Morning everyone!

Got a few much needed days off this week after working a solid 68hrs last week. But it's not a good thing for me, to ease the pain of why I hate the 6th March it is actually sunny. So to take my mind off my problems, taking pictures seemed like a good idea right? LOL, I be the fool as usual >.<

Here goes, you'll see...

Boxed goodies!

Giorgio Armani Sheer Bronzer in #01 and Spring Eye Pencil in #05 Copper.
Suqqu Blend Colour Eyeshadow in #02 Kokedama.

Close up of Suqqu #02 Kokedama.
As you can see, yes there is sun! But could I get the right angle? Heck no. To add insult to injury I friggin dropped the Suqqu quad when it was open, FML :( Check out the gouge on the pale green *sigh*
Oh well, at least it wasn't a major smash which I am prone too. I did attempt some swatches with my stubs of fingers too, lol!

Well, that's all for today... Or so I thought :)
Not beauty related, but I am possibly the only person on the planet to get excited about work boots ♥
I ordered them yesterday online and boy did they arrive uber quick! I opted for the Dewalt Maxi Safety boots, which are so freakin comfortable compared to my current ARCO ones. Ummm, excuse the fluffy foxtail thingie hanging in the background...

Yeah baby :)

Hope everyone is well and having a good week so far! Would like to wish a Massive Happy Birthday to Mrs LauraJean of My Newest Addiction too, have a great day girl :0
