Autumnal FOTD

Good Morning all!

Well, sorry for the lack of updates a little bit of bad news came my way last Friday which may have been a bit soul destroying... I know, drama queen alert! But I have been made redundant at work and today is sadly my last day, a little sad about it as I'll miss my Piranha boys. But anyway, lets move on with a FOTD from Wednesday :)

Felt a little inspired by a few of the current Youtube videos in my sub box, and decided to go for an Autumnal look. I'm not one to follow the seasonal changes, maybe a dabbler in the fashion seasons but this I quite enjoyed. Please note, I may have done something very drastic on Monday... Yes that's right, I shaved the right side of my head! Cue derpy face on pics... >.<

Okies, please excuse my close up of the eye makeup pic. I was having many issues with this eye which was why I wasn't posting many FOTDs. As you can see the texture is a bit off, that's because the lid is drier than the desert still but at least it's not swollen, red or pufftastical anymore!
Also noticed I have made it to 100 followers via Google Friend Connect. I think it may be time for a little giveaway don't you? :)

Thanks for reading and have a good weekend ♥

Rouge Bunny Rouge comparison swatches.

Good evening!

Well, this is indeed a request post (Yes Driveller, this is for you!!) as I recently acquired 2 more Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadows in Tantalizing Lovebird and Veiled Lyrebird. So here we have it, a comparison of Lovebird and Lyrebird with Angelic Cockatiels, Fire-Tailed Sunbird and Unforgettable Oriole. Pictures taken in direct sunlight, in which certain multi-dimension sparklies became more apparent!

From top left, clockwise:
~ Unforgettable Oriole, white gold.
~ Veiled Lyrebird, peachy pale pink.
~ Angelic Cockatiels, cool golden peach.
~ Fire-Tailed Sunbird, holographic apricot pink.
~ Tantalizing Lovebird, cool coral pink.

Swatched in alphabetical order, as you can see the new arrivals are far more pink compared to the other eyeshadows. Well, I hope this is of some help to someone! I will be doing a FOTD using Veiled Lyrebird soon as I am absolutely in love with it :)

If you do have any requests for swatches or FOTDs, please feel free to leave a comment or even email me!

Lipstick madness.

Good morning all!

I do not know what has happened lately, but I have been indulging in a bit of lipstick madness. I mean brights, reds, vamps... I'm not entirely sure what is going on, but I think I like it! (that phrase always reminds me of Spencer from iCarly, lol!). Anyways, back to the point. I decided to get hold of a few of the Sleek Pout Paints in hope of custom mixing a colour from a Tumblr post I seen, it was actually driving me crazy. Then yesterday, took a stroll into town and picked up 5 of the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks. One shade which is totally not my typical choice :O
So here we go... All pics taken in direct sunlight, which thankfully came out from behind the clouds.

Sleek Pout Paints, purchased from here.

Left to right:
~ Lava, bright orange.
~ Pinktini, cool bright pink.
~ Cloud 9, white.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks, purchased from Superdrug instore but you can find them on here.

Left to right:
~ #04, dark purple.
~ #05, warm medium pink.
~ #12, bright coral red.
~ #19, rosy brown pink.
~ #22, warm bright red.

I really love the original shades that Rimmel released as they smell so fruity which is a change from their usual crayony lipstick scent. Sadly, the recent ones (#19 & #22) do have that scent which I will just have to ignore! I am looking forward to the matte lipsticks however, these and the new pencil eye liners of course. If I remember correctly, I'm reading 3rd October in the blogging world (UK date). I have indulged a little more as I had another Sleek discount code to use up and bought 5 more of the Pout Paints :)

Finally, I did a little playing around with the Sleek Pout Paints and mixed about equal amounts of all 3 shades and slapped it on! I was so impressed at how little you really need. Apologies, this is after a 2 and half hour nap... So hair and makeup is a little slept in.

Inglot haul.

Good evening!

So a late Wednesday post from me, but I had to share my new pretties which arrived yesterday. Now, why am I so excited you ask? Well, I actually ordered these on the 18th August and due to courier stupidity my package was returned to Inglot which they kinda resent free of charge! I am so pleased with the service I received from them :)

Anyways, enough ramblings and more pictures ♥

Yes, you are seeing correctly! RED :)

My new and first palettes.

As you can see, I went bright. That's right, I'm indulging on this new found love of red in all forms. I even took the liberty of ordering some oxblood red skinny jeans from ASOS.com which is very un-me, lol! Now, onto swatches... Pics are taken in direct sunlight as my Sony XPERIA doesn't like anything else sadly. Might have to get myself a Lumix on Friday.

Well, I hope this is of some use to some of you lovelies! I think, I might be a bit addicted now but I will hold off any huge orders for when I return to Poland with my dearest boyfriend.

Inglot can be ordered from here.

Saturday Swatchfest!

Good sunny afternoon!

Yeah, not sure where that just came from... maybe it's the cold I have talking or le cidre, I'll never know! But  thought I'd get up to date on some of my product swatches from a few recent hauls over the past few months. Just realised I still need to swatch my Art Deco eyeshadow palette :|

But something a little expected from me, eye goodies...
Despite my many choices of eye liner pencils, I seemed to be lacking a true nude pencil for those red winged liner days. The path was clearly NARS led especially as I was in need of a new eye primer due to the Urban Decay ones causing my eyelids to go dry, extremely flaky and oh so painful for a month or so. This certainly did not please me in the slightest! So off I galloped to NARS and ordered the Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base and Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte.

Then a little trip to see my favourite Sales Assistant at my local Lancome counter, I really do miss working in that Boots tbh :( But oh well, there was a gift with any 2 purchases and of course Lancome have just launched the very gorgeous Ombre Hypnose eyeshadows that I couldn't resist! The first shade I wanted was OOS (P204), so I settled with P102 Sable Enchante (pearly pale peach) and I204 Cuban Light (Iridescent taupe with silver shimmer). The texture of these eyeshadows are so smooth and buttery, not to mention highly pigmented! I am very impressed to say the least, but I have always been a fan of Lancome's individual eyeshadows.

And now for some swatches. All pictures were taken in direct sunlight as I had no choice today, goodness knows why it's so bright and hot this time of year... not that I mind! :)

Next up, something a little different from me. Well, 3 are very Mira-style shades and the other 3 are absolutely out of my comfort zone (which I am all for embracing). Here we have my most recently acquired lipsticks and lipglosses, yes that's right! Lipsticks, not just any lipstick however... I have been on a bit of a red kick lately!?!? Now one of these you will have seen in a previous post, but it was never something I wanted until recently and that's Revlon Matte lipstick in #005 Strawberry Suede. This was the colour that really kicked it all off for me. I then purchased one of the new YSL Rouge Pur Couture The Mats in #203 Rouge Rock and the same day I was generously given a gorgeous byTerry Intensive Hydra-Plump Lipstick in #1 Caramel Rouge. The other 3 are more my usual style however, Suqqu Creamy Glow Lipstick in #03 Tsuyazakura and Dior Ultra Glow Glosses in #236 Satin Peach & #556 Coral Fantasy. The latter 2 were bought from one of the most epic blogsales I've seen in a while!

byTerry, YSL, Suqqu, Revlon and Dior.

And of course some swatches of these gorgeous lipsticks! I must add, the day I bought the YSL I was forced (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, LOL) into the Sales Assistant seat for him to apply it to my lips to wear for the rest of the day meandering around London. This lipstick wore like a dream, I have very dry lips on the best of days and was quite scared of the matte formula but it did not feel drying at all! More like second skin, very natural and comfortable. With only one touch up after a short snack on some waffles it truly lasted the rest of the day, I was very relieved I did make the bold choice of purchasing it!

Well, that's all for today's swatchfest. Hopefully my right eyelid heals up now and I can get back to posting some dreadful FOTD pictures!
Thanks for reading and have a fab weekend ♥

Welcome September!

Good Morning blog readers!

One is incredibly sorry for being absent for so long, but I feel it's time to return... I need to get back into the routine of blogging again and decided September is the time for this, lol :)

So today, 1st September I bring you swatches galore! I finally acquired all the Sleek Makeup Eau La La pencils, which I have been utterly addicted to since they first came into my life. You can buy them from Sleek for £4.99, but if you are not aware Sleek have recently relaunched their website and until the 5th September you get a 20% discount off your entire shopping bag!

So here goes ladies and gentlemen...

Sleek Eau

From left to right, in alphabetical order.
Blue Moon ~ Metallic dark green blue.
Bullion ~ Metallic gold.
Canary Yellow ~ Cream bright yellow.
Cobalt Blue ~ Cream bright pale blue.
Cocoa ~ Cream cool dark brown.
Dragon Fruit ~ Cream dark pink.
Lingerie ~ Cream cool medium pink.
Melba ~ Cream bright peach.
Molasses ~ Cream warm dark brown.
Moulin Rouge (Now simply called Rouge) ~ Cream bright red.
Noir ~ Cream black.
Nutcracker ~ Cream medium warm brown.
Pumpkin ~ Cream bright orange.
Raisin ~ Cream dark purple.
Red Sky Night ~ Cream pale pink.
Sand Dune ~ Cream tan.
Satchel ~ Cream warm brown.
Tonic ~ Metallic teal.
Venom ~ Cream red toned purple.
White Noise ~ Cream clear white.

Well, hopefully that makes sense as I'm not quite with it this morning... Colour descriptions was like trying to squeeze blood from a stone! But now for some swatches, I kept the shades in the same order as above going from top left to right.

Taken indoors in a well lit room.
Taken in direct natural light.
Well, I hope that has been of some help to someone but I cannot recommend these liners enough lately! They took some real work to remove from my hand, involving wipes, Bioderma, cleansing oil and SCRUBBING! But they last all day on my eyes and waterline and come off with cleansing oil with ease thankfully :)

Thanks for reading and have a good weekend ♥
